What did you learn at Vulcain that you wouldn't have learned elsewhere?

My position as a Construction, Civil Engineering and Electromechanical engineer offers me the opportunity to work in several sectors of activity and Vulcain offered me this chance!

I started working at Vulcain in the rail sector for a major customer in the sector for a year. It was a rich experience from every point of view: management, railway culture etc. Then, I returned to my preferred sector, the nuclear industry, working in particular on the OL3 project in Finland at the end of installations and the assembly, testing and assembly of electromechanics. Nuclear is a complex industry with very varied activities and that's what I really like. On the other hand, I participate in various consultations and tenders for framework contracts, trades and construction on behalf of Vulcain, which is a dream opportunity!

What makes you wake up in the morning?

My passion for my job is a real motivator that helps me get up on a daily basis!

I am fortunate to be able to contribute to the implementation of several projects in parallel (development of the civil engineering schedule for EPR Export, drafting of specification notes for the installation and assembly of electromechanical lots of components of the EPR2 power plant, participation in nuclear tenders in Saudi Arabia, writing of the technical specifications of the future Sizewell C nuclear power plant project in England, etc.). It is a permanent motivation that has lasted 13 years now!

I enjoy sharing my know-how and my skills, which is an additional daily motivation.

What is your hidden talent?

I don't know if I have a hidden talent, strictly speaking, but I know that I now have great versatility and the ability to adapt to all types of situations, regardless of the industrial sector and the complexity of the project.

With experience, my approach to problems encountered at work and on a daily basis has changed a lot, and in a positive way! Today I am able to take a step back on things, to put things more into perspective. This allows me to solve problems more calmly and in a more methodical way and it is a real asset both in the professional and personal world.
