Vulcain was founded in the mid-2000s to specialise in energy and environment projects. Our knowledge of the energy and environment sector means we can support our customers at all stages of the engineering-procurement-construction-commissioning (EPCC) project lifecycle.
Our business team is expanding, and we are looking for a Business Manager to join the UK Project Management and Project Controls team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your business acumen with your Project Management background to make a real impact in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.
Key Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
· Take ownership of a defined section of the business and be fully responsible for its profit and loss.
· Manage customer accounts end-to-end, including business development, bidding, recruitment, delivery, and team leadership.
· Work closely with a supportive team to ensure you have the tools and backing to succeed.
· Develop and implement strategies to grow market presence and drive revenue.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
· Lead, coach, and support your own delivery team to ensure high performance.
· Location is flexible, but regular presence will be needed in Eastington, and with your team/clients in Bristol and/or Bridgwater.
The role of a Business Manager is both challenging and rewarding. With responsibility for your own profit centre, you will gain experience in all aspects of growing and managing your own account. You will be supported by a great team to ensure you have everything you need to be successful.
· Proven experience driving business growth, ideally within engineering or project delivery sectors.
· Degree in engineering or project management, or equivalent industry experience.
· Strong commercial awareness and understanding of profit & loss ownership.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· A positive, driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
· Ability to build strategic partnerships and lead cross-functional teams.
· Interest or knowledge of the nuclear industry is desirable.
· Due to the nature of the role candidates must have Independent Permanent Right to Work in the UK.
