Shell is committed to a major project to modernise and secure a refinery, in partnership with Technip Energies. The objective: to optimize existing infrastructures while complying with demanding industrial and environmental standards. One of the key challenges lies in the integration of new equipment within an operating site, requiring careful planning and careful coordination between various technical disciplines (civil engineering, piping, instrumentation, instrumentation, processes, etc.).
In this context, Vulcain Engineering mobilizes its Dutch and French teams to ensure general installation studies, 3D modeling and document management, essential elements to guarantee the fluidity of operations and compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) requirements. Thanks to its experience in petrochemical engineering and an approach based on interdisciplinary collaboration, Vulcain contributes to keeping the refinery in operation while improving its performance and safety. This project illustrates Vulcain's ability to act in complex environments and to support its partners in the success of their industrial challenges.
Technip Energies was looking for a partner capable of integrating new infrastructures into an operating environment, without disrupting production. It was also a question of coordinating several technical disciplines (piping, structures, structures, civil engineering, instrumentation) and of managing project documentation according to strict HSE standards. Finally, industrial safety and regulatory compliance were at the heart of the priorities, requiring sustained control of interfaces and methodical monitoring of procedures.
Coordinate the installation of equipment without interrupting refinery activity.
Continuously comply with HSE requirements and maintain industrial safety.
Rigorously manage project documentation and the application of regulatory standards.
Vulcain Engineering deployed a double expertise, technical and organizational, to meet the requirements of the project. Our teams carried out general installation studies (piping, structures, equipment) and developed 3D models to anticipate constraints. They also coordinated various specialties in order to ensure the homogeneity of the work. This approach includes a strict HSE approach, guaranteeing the reliability and security of the site throughout the modernization.
Use 3D modeling to accurately visualize and manage technical interfaces.
Supervise the compliance of works by adapting to evolving industrial standards.
Collaborate closely with Technip Energies and Shell to meet HSE deadlines and requirements.
