Join Our Growing Team – Internal Recruiter (Nuclear, Engineering & Construction)

We’re looking for a proactive and self-motivated Internal Recruiter to support recruitment across our Nuclear, Technical, Engineering, and Construction projects. This is a full-time, permanent role, based at our Head Office in Eastington (Gloucestershire). However, we’re also open to candidates based further afield – ideally in the North West UK (Merseyside, Cheshire, or Lancashire) – who can commit to one week per month at our Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of recruitment within your allocated business unit, acting as a subject matter expert and trusted partner to Business Managers.
  • Proactively identify and engage talent for both current vacancies and future opportunities, using a range of sourcing tools and techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines through networking, direct outreach, and consistent candidate engagement.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements and shape effective recruitment strategies.
  • Use platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, and referrals to source and connect with high-quality candidates.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with prospective candidates, keeping them informed and engaged with the business.
  • Conduct first-stage screening calls or interviews to assess candidate suitability and support a positive candidate experience.
  • Manage the full recruitment process from sourcing through to offer, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey for candidates and stakeholders.
  • Operate within agreed recruitment processes and policies, maintaining high standards of compliance and data protection (including GDPR).
  • Keep job adverts and recruitment communications up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with the Vulcain brand.
  • Share insights, trends, and candidate availability with the wider recruitment team to support collective success across the business.

At Vulcain, our recruitment team is a key driver of business success. As an Internal Recruiter, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our strategic growth. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and senior leaders, advising the business and acting as a trusted consultant on all things talent-related.

Profil recherché

  • Proven experience in sourcing and headhunting candidates using a range of platforms and tools, with strong sourcing skills using LinkedIn Recruiter essential.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting for hard-to-fill roles, particularly within Project Controls, Project Management, and Engineering disciplines – ideally within the Nuclear sector or major energy infrastructure projects.
  • Confident in Boolean search techniques, with the ability to adapt and refine searches creatively to identify hard-to-reach talent.
  • Comfortable navigating applicant tracking systems (ATS) and able to manage robust tracking and reporting outside of an ATS, while ensuring compliance with GDPR and industry best practices.
  • Takes a strategic, business-wide view when screening candidates - always considering how individuals might align with future or adjacent opportunities across the business.
  • Skilled in conducting structured screening and qualification interviews, with an ability to identify red flags and assess alignment early in the process.
  • Actively uses social media and professional networks to source candidates and support employer brand visibility and engagement.
  • Brings a “quality over quantity” mindset, with a focus on candidate alignment, long-term value, and cultural fit – particularly important when hiring into critical, highly specialised roles.

Due to the nature of the work role holders will be required to undergo a Basic Security clearance (BPSS) and must have Independent Right to Work in the UK.

At Vulcain Engineering, we offer more than just a job, we offer a rewarding career with endless opportunities for growth and development. You'll be part of a talented team of professionals working on exciting and meaningful projects and making a real impact to the nuclear industry.
